Restriction on Freedom of Expression by TRAI: 100 SMS per day

As per Trai regulations, w.e.f 20/9/11, you can send only 100 SMS-es in a day. This is clearly violation of freedom of expression.

TRAI has come up with some thing new which has brought unhappiness in its newness. It has introduced a new rule 'Per Day Per Sim' (PDPS) which will restrict mobile users to send only 100 messages in one days. The 'Per Day Per Sim' (PDPS) rule of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), announced last year, comes into effect on September 20, 2011.

  1. Plz explain y the Govt. doesnt use the DND effecively?? It takes atleast 40-60 days for the pesky calls to stop? And plz explain the highly intelligent TRAI officers that a sim hardly cost 30 bucks now. A tele-marketer can buy 100 sim and send calls to ten thousand nos. by a single handset. All he has to do is forward the msg till excess limit is reached and den swap d sim.
